4 degrees south of the equator, north east of Madagascar and off the east coast of Africa, Seychelles' isolation makes it truly unique. Whether granite or coral, each Seychelles island has something different to offer though all have lush flora and fauna with some of the most photographed beaches in the world.
The Seychelles government is keen to promote sustainable tourism so 50% of the total landmass has been committed as National Parks, Nature Reserves or protected areas. Two of these have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites - Aldabra Island (largest atoll in the world) with its 150,000 tortoises and Vallee de Mai on Praslin home to the Coco-de-Mer, the worlds largest seed.
As the islands are so diverse, Seychelles Island Hopping is thoroughly recommended and easy to do. You can take advantage of the scheduled domestic flights, ferries or helicopters. For the more adventurous cruises and boat charters are also possible. To visit only one island would mean missing out so we recommend a combination of at least two islands during your stay to really experience what the Seychelles has to offer.
